Lets go for a ride" was the catchphrase around our home when I was younger. The simpler times, gas was cheap, the road calling to you for adventure. My mom and dad took my sister and I to destinations in the surrounding countryside. We would go to a orchard and gather fresh vegetables and fruit, maybe sometimes find an old abandoned home to explore or a local park. Watching the scenery roll by from the backseat of the car, I started honing my observation skills early.
